UPDATE

Thefxhelpers proved to be a very solid reliable company and they have a very good customer service/support. The reason that I closed my account with them is that I wanted a greater return on my investment. I am waiting to see if they improve their performance or maybe acquire some more traders/accounts that show promise and I may re-invest with them in the future.

I am happy with the due diligence that I have conducted. I was going to invest some money a few months ago but my investment money was tied up and haven’t been able to get going until today.

It was a simple process. I had discussed with thefxhelpers which fund that I was going to invest in a while ago. They sent me an LPOA (Limited Power Of Attorney) form to fill out and then send to Smarttrade FX. I also had a bank wire transfer form with the details on to deposit my money.

I signed up for an account with SmartTradeFX on Wednesday 6th October. On Thursday 5th October, I had an email from SmartTradeFX requesting one government photo ID (passport), secondary ID (driving license) and proof of address (utility bill). I emailed these to them. I then had an email with bank details again.

On 31st October, I wired off my deposit to start trading. This will take about 3 days to clear then my account will start to trade.

I had to email the IFSA once again because I never had a response. On 20th June I had a return email confirming that SmartTradeFX is registered with them and that their registration number is 19738 IBC 2011. They are in good standing with the IFSA.

The brokers are SmartTradeFX. I checked their website for registration details. They too were registered with the IFSA. I once again emailed the IFSA for confirmation. They registered with the NFA, as this would not allow them to trade with thefxhelpers or their customers.

I wanted to know it thefxhelpers had historical statements. They have trading records and live proof on MyFXBook. 3rd party audits were not available as yet but they would be in the next year or so.

April 28, 2012

I wanted to find out if thefxhelpers were registered, so I had a look on their website to check. It said that they were registered by the IFSA (International Financial Services Authority (IFSA) of St Vincent and the Grenadines. The licence number quoted was 19737.

I sent an email to the IFSA on 21st April just to verify that they were registered. The IFSA returned my email on Aprl 26th validating that THEFXHELPER LTD were registered and that their licence number was IBC 19737 2011.
